If you are new to the airport environment, this post is for you!
When it comes airplanes and flying, it can get a bit overwhelming. So I hope my personal tips will keep you from any surprises.
- buy snacks: airport food tends to be expensive. So my advice is to buy your favorite snacks to fulfill your cravings when you are stuck in the plane with unappealing plane food.
- arrive early: you do not want to miss your flight, trust me. If your destination is international, be at the airport at least two and a half hours before. If not, one hour to two is alright for domestic flights. But don’t forget the time it will take you to get to the airport. Keep in mind that there may be traffic or accidents.
- check in: if you have the option, I recommend checking in online so you are all set once you arrive at the airport. But if you are not allowed, don’t stress, as soon as you arrive look for your airline and you’ll be able to check in then.
- find your gate: this is what I always like to do once I’m checked in. I rather be safe than sorry and do everything I need to do around the gate to make sure I’m not missing out on any flight updates.
